It was with great enthusiasm that I took up my post as Consul General of Switzerland in Strasbourg on 1 October 2025. I have the privilege of representing Switzerland in the Grand Est region, where nearly 24,000 Swiss citizens live, work and contribute to our unique ties.
Open since 1922, our Consulate is much more than an administrative office: it is a true bridge between Switzerland and the Grand Est region. Human contact remains at the heart of our mission, because nothing can replace direct exchange and kindness. However, to make your daily life easier, we strongly encourage you to use our online desk, which is simple, fast and accessible 24 hours a day, allowing you to carry out many administrative procedures without having to travel.
But our mission doesn't stop there! We are also here to help strengthen economic exchanges: did you know that the Grand Est region alone accounts for 17% of trade between Switzerland and France? And that France is our sixth largest trading partner, while Switzerland is one of the largest direct investors in France? These are great opportunities that we want to see grow even further! We also closely monitor cross-border projects, support research and innovation, and promote the Swiss education system to local stakeholders and the general public. Our academic and scientific exchanges with France are a real asset, proof that our two countries are moving forward hand in hand. Finally, Swiss culture occupies an important place in our region. We support numerous Swiss events and artists who live, perform or exhibit in this beautiful region.
